So you’re having a party and you need a decent, affordable, Gatsby, 1920s/‘30s, jazz swing band for drinks/dinner/dancing. And maybe a party disco afterwards. Or you need music for a funeral/wake. So who you gonna call? A London agent? There are loads on Google. Or an actual band? ‘The Gershwin Gang’ is a local, affordable, full-time, professional, Gatsby jazz band. We’ve been playing at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events in Shrewsbury and around Shropshire for 25 years; most recently at Mercure Albrighton Hall Hotel, Weston Park near Shifnal and the Holiday Inn in Telford. But we also play in village halls, company offices and in private homes and marquees in the garden.
